17/04/11In preparation for my submission to the Royal Photographic Society (RPS) in June, I attended a 'Distinctions workshop' in Pimlico today. It was a very useful day, giving attendees a chance to present their proposed Licentiateship panel of ten images in front of an audience and two RPS judges.
It was an excellent chance to see other peoples work, to have a chat and share experiences in what can be quite a lonely business. Although the presentation was quite daunting, there was some really helpful feedback and constructive criticism. My proposed panel was actually well received and the judges considered that it had met the majority of the technical requirements.
So, after a little reworking I hope to be ready to submit my panel of images in front of a panel of 5-judges at the RPS Headquarters in Bath on the 9th of June. Fingers crossed!
