Sketching day at White Lodge
A few days ago I was lucky to gain access to White Lodge in the middle of Richmond Park. This beautiful Georgian palladian style building is home to the pupils at the School of the Royal Ballet. Term had finished when I visited so I was able to capture some of the details around the building. Most importantly, my main purpose of the day was to record the work undertaken by visiting artists.
The visit had been organised by 'ArtsRichmond' to enable local artists to interpret and be influenced by both the building and location with a view to creating an exhibition in September. As the executive committee member of ArtsRichmond representing photography I was fortunate to be able to visit this building which is normally closed to the public through the year.
Please have a look at my Flickr album to see photographs of both the building and the artists at work - White Lodge, Richmond Park Sketching day.
