Today was a really interesting and enjoyable day. The photographic 365 project I have been undertaking since the 1st of January 2013 led to a second meeting for me with a group of 20 plus previously unknown people, this time in Borough Market in Southwark. Although strangers, we are all linked by one common factor - the fact we are all undertaking our own 365 projects!
In addition to fellow 365ers, Ross Scrivna the person who originally founded the 365 Project and website joined us and it was fascinating to gain an insight into how the website works. At present there are over 140,000 people registered on the site and although only 8,000 people such as ourselves regularly contribute, to date there are now over 1 million images in the project.
I had met some of the ‘365ers’ at an earlier meeting in Spitalfields and Brick Lane in December last year so it was good to catch up. My shutter count was not as many as on some occasions as we spent too long trying food samples in the market and talking. We walked from Borough market through Southwark and then along the South Bank to City Hall and a well earned drink - a great day with great company.
