25/02/09A family celebration in Venice (My Mothers 65th birthday) lead to some fantastic opportunities for photography.
Following the guide that the first couple of hours and the last couple of hours in the day provide the best light (known as the golden hours), I rose before sunrise on 3-days to capture the city.
We also experienced the last week of the Carnival. My reservations over possible difficulties in capturing posing revelers were put to rest on the first day (and every day afterwards) as Carnival participants enthusiastically posed for anybody in sight with an SLR (especially with a telephoto lens!).
